This fee helps maintain the platform and ensures secure payment processing through Stripe.

What is the permit expediting service?

FixHub Pro's permit expediting service handles the entire permit application process for you. When creating a service request, tap "Check Permit Requirements" to find out if your project needs a permit.

If a permit is needed, you can opt into our service and we'll handle:

  • Document preparation and review
  • Permit application submission to the county
  • Communication with county officials
  • Status tracking and updates
  • Permit retrieval when approved
  • Inspection coordination support

You can also choose to handle the permit yourself if you prefer.

What is the Service Contract?

Every service request on FixHub Pro is backed by a legally binding Service Agreement -- a tri-party contract between you (Customer), the Service Provider, and FixHub Pro (Platform).

How it works:

  • You pre-sign the contract when you submit your service request
  • The provider signs when they accept your job
  • The contract becomes "Active" once both parties have signed
  • A signed PDF is auto-generated and available to both parties

The contract protects you with clauses covering provider qualifications, workmanship standards, property protection, right to inspect work, dispute rights, and escrow payment protection.

The contract is available in both English and Spanish and is compliant with the federal ESIGN Act.

Do I need to sign a contract for every service request?

Yes. Signing the Service Agreement is a required step when submitting a service request. This ensures all parties are protected from the start.

The signing process is quick:

  1. Review the contract terms (toggle to Spanish if preferred)
  2. Check the agreement box
  3. Enter your full legal name
  4. Draw your signature
  5. Tap "Sign & Submit Request"

The contract covers your protections and ensures that the provider who accepts your job also agrees to the same terms.

How does the AI permit analysis work?

When you tap "Check Permit Requirements" while creating a service request, our AI (powered by Claude) analyzes:

  • Your work description
  • The type of service (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC)
  • Your location (city and county)

The AI provides:

  • Whether a permit is likely required
  • Confidence level of the determination
  • Reasoning behind the assessment
  • Estimated permit costs and processing timeline

If you disagree with the AI's determination, you can use the override toggle to change it.

Which counties are supported for permit expediting?

Our permit expediting service currently covers two South Florida counties:

  • Miami-Dade County
  • Broward County

We are actively expanding to more Florida counties. If your city is not in a supported county, you can still submit a service request - the permit analysis will still run, but the expediting service may not be available yet for your area.

How long does the permit process take?

Processing times vary by county, but typically take approximately 30 business days.

The process includes:

  • Document preparation (1-3 business days)
  • County review and approval
  • Inspection scheduling (if applicable)

You can track your permit status in real-time through the "My Permits" section in the app.
